I wanted Bactrim for a UTI but Dr. Kane was going to prescribe Macrobid. I insisted Macrobid didn't work for me. He said it was an antibiotic and should work, but I was insistent it be Bactrim. I was wondering why he felt Macrobid was better for me, so I looked up Bactrim and saw it could interact with my ace inhibitor and was not a good med for my age. I wish he had told me that. The Bactrim was sent to the wrong pharmacy but I asked for the Macrobid and that was sent to the correct pharmacy.
